Örjanskolan is a non-profit Waldorf school in which art permeates all subjects. The school offers close contact between teacher and pupil in a secure school environment in which pupils are allowed to be the persons they are and to become the persons they want to be. Pupils are encouraged to activate both creative and critical thought processes and this gives them an ability for independent problem solving and taking the initiative. Education is guided not only by ready-produced material but also by the teacher’s narrative, group work and artistic processing. Travel and practical secondments are part of the teaching methods used. Örjanskolan accepts pupils for compulsory school and upper secondary school from anywhere in Sweden. The upper secondary school offers the art, music and drama programme, the natural science programme and the natural science programme with the natural world, all of these being taught using methods based on Waldorf teaching theory.
